Job Description:

1. Certified mechanical drafting qualification with experience in handling detailed plant design of large EPC contracts. .
2. Demonstrable experience in making optimised layouts and detailed designs of large Water Treatment and Desalination plants, large raw water treatment, demineralised water plants, recycle/reuse plants based on conventional and membrane technology
3. Demonstrable experience in guiding a team of draftsmen, scheduling their activities and ensuring they deliver high quality output.
4. High level interpersonal skills, strong management, planning and self-management skills;
5. Knowledge of various piping standards, classes and materials for various applications;
6. Ability to work independently
7. Knowledge of CAD platforms including ability to create CAD templates and standards to be followed by draftsmen.
8. Ability to recognise and highlight Technical risks related to plant designs, piping and structures. Record of helping proposal engineers in estimating developing optimum layouts and piping BOQs.
9. Analytical and problem solving capabilities for piping
10. National (and ideally international) Project experience and dealing in projects involving multiple approving agencies and end users.
11. Capacity to travel, including international
12. Advanced computer skills in MS Office and MS Project.
13. Knowledge & experience in dealing with 3D software through 3rd parties e.g. PDS/PDMS.
14. Undertaking the development of detailed designs and associated design documentation including “for-construction” for projects, rentals and operations upgrades
15. Provide solutions for non-conforming products and safety and environmental incidents
16. Encourage and support staff including those in other offices
17. Contribute to the culture of design innovation by undertaking design and model reviews
18. Willing to undertake short term assignments on site and in other Osmoflo global offices for limited travel durations.
19. Liaising with customers and internal resources to ensure designs are in line with project scope, schedules and milestones.
