Job Description

1. Manage the Instrumentation Engineering activities in accordance with Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards. 
2. Optimisation of design during proposal stage by value engineering 
3. Ensure effective utilization of resources, control of engineering man-hours 
4. Timely issuance of engineering deliverable and monitoring release of ?HOLDs? 
5. Participate in 3D model review, Design review, Hazop, SIL study and close out of all actionable points. 
6. Participate and drive value engineering sessions -
7. Identify risk, gaps and mitigate effectively -
8. Monitor engineering quality and fully engage to diagnose and correct action plan -Continuous improvement in design tools, efficiencies and overall quality of deliverables -Update and create engineering policies and procedures as required to improve efficiencies and adjust to new markets -
9. Participate in monthly project review sessions to stay current on status of on-going projects Participate in monthly forecasting sessions to update management on source requirements -Provide monthly reports to management of engineering staffing, training, assignments and goal completions Shared cross-functionally -
10. Ensuring timely input to cross discipline function such as process, mechanical, Piping, Civil and Electrical. 
11. Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface during the design development 
12. Provide technical guidance to task force members 
13. Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring 
14. Ensure proper training programs are conducted within the departments to keep staff current on latest technology and procedures 
15. Build strong cohesive teams that works together 
16. Work closely with project teams to establish annual goals and initiatives to advance the teams and maintain a high level of competency and exceptional quality -
17. Continually communicate with counterparts to understand upcoming projections of staffing needs and take action to meet the varying needs.
