Rowan Williams Davies & Irwin Inc. (RWDI) is an international engineering consulting firm specializing in Wind Engineering and Building Science.  Our specialist expertise has contributed to the success of many landmark projects worldwide, including Taipei 101, the Burj Khalifa and the Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia that will be more the 1km tall once construction is complete. In India we are responsible for the wind engineering on many exciting projects now in development including the Statue of Unity in Gujarat and India's tallest residential building, the Palais Royale in Mumbai.

RWDI is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Regional Project Manager / Consultant to service our existing client base and drive growth in the region. The preferred location for the position is in our Trivandrum office, but we are also open to possibility of the position being in either Mumbai or Dubai if you are the right candidate in terms of your qualifications and experience. This is a strategic hire and RWDI is ideally looking for a passionate individual that, with time and evidence of results, has the potential to grow into a key leadership role.

This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Business development activities leading to the award of the contract. These will typical include client relationship development, preparation of proposals, oral presentations, and contract negotiation.
• Developing working technical relationships with clients through the life of the project and ensuring RWDI delivers exceptional customer service; while simultaneously managing and participating in internal delivery processes so project meets technical, quality and business expectations.
• Actively raising the profile of RWDI in the region by conducting on-going professional outreach activities including technical seminars, conferences and webinars that positions RWDI as the leading specialist consultant in its areas of technical expertise.

 Job Requirements

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (ideally also possess a graduate degree with a focus in Wind Engineering, Structural Dynamics or Computational Fluid Dynamics focus) or an MBA
• Minimum of 5 years' related experience working on international projects in a multidisciplinary design environment
• Track record of developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients
• Possess or be eligible to obtain registered Professional Engineer Status in India or with another reputable engineering body

The ideal candidate should also possess the following skills/aptitudes:

• A technical curiosity and passion to develop knowledge and competency in RWDI's areas of specialist expertise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to consult confidently with other design professionals and clients
• A driven self-starter possessing excellent organizational and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal and team skills, with proven ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision
• Willingness to frequently travel on short duration trips within India, South Asia and the Middle East in support of business development and projects
