Job Description:

1. Handle Project Procurement Activities to cater to purchase requirements of the Project from HO. 
2. Procurement of all Materials & Services in conformance to Procurement guidelines / SOPs/ Purchase Processes as per project requirements and signed Procurement Plan.
3. Further, in consultation with the Identified SPOC/SCM BU Lead explore for aggregation / Disaggregation of packages.
4. Work Experience in Projects Procurement related to Ferrous / Non Ferrous process plants viz., Steel or Mineral Handling / Processing plants. Hands on working on ERP (ORACLE)/ SAP is mandatory.
5. Technical Skills: Buyer need to understand the requirement of Project and analyze the technical details of the materials required.
6. Technical Knowledge Buyer need to have exposure / knowledge in material related to items (Mechanical/Electrical) used in project. 
7. Awareness of Vendors: Buyer to be aware of the vendors (preferably including global sources) and their product offerings. In general, and more specific to Ferrous / Non Ferrous process plants viz., Steel or Mineral Handling / Processing plants.
8. Analytical Skills: Buyers need to work with multiple vendors to determine price discovery, obtain the best deals for the company, and have to evaluate the many pros and cons of each, based on price, quality, speed of delivery, term & conditions and other factors.
9. Decision-Making Skills: Buyers need to use the information gathered by him to make recommendations to facilitate decision making. 
10. Negotiation Skills: Buyers will be working with suppliers to negotiate the best deals and savings against Estimated cost / budgeted costs. Buyer to be fairly aware of the prevailing market prices for the items to be procured. Should have adequate knowledge of cost estimation. 
11. Communication Skills: Proficiency in English, Hindi and any other regional language.
12. MIS: Buyer to facilitate timely preparation of MIS as per companys requirement by ensuring availability of updated data on real time basis.
13. Inter Personal Skills: Buyers will be working with several stake holders including the internal customer therefore need to possess good inter personal skills. 
14. Monitoring and control of project Time, Cost and Quality.Monitoring Revenues from client & Payment to the vendors.Maintaining contractual obligations & monitoring customer inputs.Review customer feedback & ensure customer satisfaction within contractual framework.Play an important role in Contracts Management like preparation of the delay analysis, making additional claims to client and thwarting back-charging by the client. .Coordinating the internal & external agencies for smooth execution of the project.Plays a leading role towards successful execution of the project, commissioning and handing over the project.Arranging release of Retention and bank guarantee.
