Requirement in PL Engineering Limited, PL Engineering Ltd (PLE) is a full spectrum design and engineering company providing services in Energy, Product and Infrastructure sectors. Leveraging its domain expertise and engineering knowledge, PLE also provides IT enabled engineering & consulting solutions and embedded systems design services.

Job Description:

1. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the business development and strategic planning effort of PL Engineering Limited. Specific responsibilities will be :Will be part of the Top Management Team driving the strategy and vision of the busienss.
2. To ensure that the business targets of order booking and profitability are being met.
3. Own, lead and will be accountable for the preparation, negotiation and closure of business deals
4. Actively pursue MUST WIN projects, especially those with long gestation (8-12 months)
5. Create a strong value message for the client with the help of marketing communication, client interaction etc
6. Lead a 3 -4 member team of BD professionals, spread over multiple locations, geographies and sectors.
7. Will be accountable for the identification of strategic locations, markets and regions where the organization should expand its presence or initiate business activities in the relevant segment.
8. Need to be able to respond to the queries raised by the client/potential clients and synergise with the segment technical experts to present the companys capability, technology, past experiences and strategic alliances.
9. Conduct extensive studies to map the competitive landscape of new areas into which the organization could potentially venture. Identify existing players and other potential new entrants in terms of their strengths and weaknesses.
10. Identify opportunities for mergers and acquisitions while entering a new geographical territory. Prepare list of potential takeover targets detailing their strengths and weaknesses
11. Involve in the key decisions related to costing to ensure profitability for the company and value for the client
12. Maintain a list of key accounts and responsible for developing and enhancing the relationship with these key accounts.
13. Draw up a detailed step-by-step timetable with well defined timelines & schedules for implementation of the business plan.
14. The incumbent should have the following attributes :
15. Should be Engineer + MBA with minimum 10+ years of experience in Business Development activities.
16. Should have worked for a major design / engineering services companies in capacity of a Head- BD / Marketing.
17. Should have domain and business knowledge of the Infrastructure (Buildings, Smart City, Industrial, Roads / Highway), Plant Engineering, Energy industry.
18. Should have a good track record in previous capacities as Head- BD/Marketing.
