Technical Engineer - Main Office – Dubai, Dubai Investment Park

Job Mission:

This is position of technical engineer and as such it requires wide spectre of responsibilities. It is mainly office related work but it requires site visits and participations in meetings as well. Person should be able to quickly adopt to EC system of work and to bring new ideas help improving it. Good collaboration skills combined with personal integrity is what we are looking for. Person shall work on projects from tender to completion phase, providing assistance to managers and site personnel.

Work on tender phase includes:

Communication with clients and subcontracting companies
consideration of future project methodology together with operations team,
subcontracting inquiries with logistic and procurement team and finally
applying EC costing model on subject project and forming cost benefit analysis (especially for projects of higher values)

Work on ongoing projects includes:

Project documentation preparation:
Method statements,
schedules
drawings,
material quantities confirmation
calculations,
technical clarification.

Following up on projects and providing any kind of technical assistance required from operations team. Engineer should also be able to provide assistance in new product development and calculation guidelines for products such as: marine buoys, silt curtains, oil booms etc.

Besides aforementioned duties person we require should possess strong tendency for self-development and development of existing procedures. He or she must be on constant mission to improve system and suggest better options. Must be able to be work independently and to handle multiple projects/inquiries at the same time.

Timely delivery of tender quotations (95%)

Minimum Qualifications:
BSc in Civil Engineering
Minimum 3 years of working experience in consultancy/design company
Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office tools. Use of professional structural design software is an advantage.
Fluency in English is a must
Marine experience is an advantage but not mandatory
