Job Description:

1. We are seeking a graduate civil engineer with a minimum 3 or more years’ experience in roads design to assist Senior and Principal Engineers with delivery of a variety of interesting projects.
2. Ideally applicants should be able to demonstrate some experience and understanding in aspects of roads delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design and construction.
3. The successful candidate will have demonstrable roads experience in one or more areas of technical capability such as alignment, drainage, pavement, signs and road markings.
4. The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job /Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the expected standards.
5. Provide technical input in the field of highway engineering
6. Reporting to a Principal Engineer or Associate you will undertake a variety of tasks providing as an individual or through team effort, a range of design and written deliverables
7. Show competence while undertaking computer based applications and tasks including use of software such as MX, WinDES and the Microsoft Office Suite of programs including MS Project.
8. Undertake project and team activities in line with Company Policy, including technical and commercial aspects as appropriate to your grade
9. Able to offer basic skills in one or more of the key areas of; alignment design, drainage design, pavement design and refurbishment, signs and road markings, and safety barrier
10. Produce detailed design information including design calculations and design sketches.
11. Liaise with CAD technicians for production of drawings.
