Job Description:

1. To develop and train safety officers in the region to discharge their duties effectively 
2. To provide on the job induction training on the duties / position to be performed 
3. To guide safety officer in preparing EHS and emergency plan.
4. To monitor the effective implementation of the environment health & safety plan (EHS) at the site.
5. To ensure safety / orientation of the new recruits at site through safety officer.
6. To investigate serious nature of accident and suggest control measures.
7. To suggest corrective actions wherever required based on the feedback given by the safety committee & records maintained.
8. Conduct safety audits at site. 
9. To ensure smooth coordination between project management team and site safety department for establishing safe working (execution) environment at site.
10. Establish report between project management team & site safety team.
11. Enhancing the safety awareness programme among the project management team.
12. To bring to the notice of the senior management about the safety standards at site for them to take corrective actions.
13. To send monthly reports to the regional safety head on the safety standards at site.
14. To have and on going interaction with the regional safety head on the safety standards.
