Job description

Josmo is looking for an Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our Interior Design team based in Mumbai, India.  (Full time employment or Project based contract)

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to oversee & guide the design process for some of the most interesting and luxurious projects in the city.

Job Description

• Oversee the complete design process and documentation for architecture and interior design, ensuring an excellence in quality of design and aesthetic appeal.
• Timely and thoughtful execution of design, in partnership with relevant vendors – including concept creation, development of details and specifications, materials research and sample procurement, and preparation of design documentation for on-site execution.
• Assist Design Director with technical know-how in design.
• Oversee aspects of the construction process including knowledge and review of the contract documents, plans, specifications (scopes of work) and performance.
• Oversee project budget, schedule and personnel requirements.
• Develop and deliver work status reports - liaising, internally and with partnering vendors, for regular updates and project development.
• Conduct extensive research for projects on new trends in interior designing/architecture methodologies.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Must have 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Should be strong conceptual thinker and quick to react to new situations on a daily basis.
• Proven design and delivery experience for high quality, premium/luxury residences/hotels.
• Eye for detail and refined design sensibility and be able to, through design, articulate the Brand aesthetic and market differentiations.
• Well-read and exposed to a high level of interior design and architecture.
• Articulate and superior written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledgeable about innovation & trends both national and international.
• Should have the ability to multi task efficiently.
• A flexible approach when working in a team.
• Must have a deep understanding of managing vendors and on-site requirements.
• Must have deep understanding of creating BOQs and market rates.
• Must have complete knowledge of AutoCad, Sketchup & basic MS Office.
