Overview / Responsibilities

• Has managed / is familiar with Quality Assurance at Home Office during the EP phase. Typically, should be well versed in review of Contractor’s Quality Plans & monitoring of

• Contractor’s QA during Design & Engineering such that design meets performance standard criteria, performance standard records

• QA/QC requirements based on equipment & material criticality ratings

• Pre-inspection meetings on quality & inspection activities

• Planning & carrying out audits

• Engineering Quality Risk sheet

• Has expertise in authoring and managing Construction Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities on assigned projects at construction sites in regard to the following;

• Contractor’s Project Site Quality Plan

• Setting of KPIs, Quality Objectives

• Review & Approval of Contractor’s Quality plans, procedures, ITPs

• Review, coordinate and accept all contractors’ deliverables as detailed in the supplier document index such as Quality plans, ITPs, Method Statements, procedures, specifications, material supplies and certifications, trade tests, third party inspections prior to work commencing

• Competency assurance of Contractors’ construction quality personnel

• Quality Surveillance / Field Inspections according to approved ITPs

• Material Management – Storage, Preservation & Maintenance at Site

• Material Traceability

• Welding, NDE & Heat Treatment; familiarity with control of welding of 9% Ni

• Conducting Contractors Discipline Audits on all construction site operation discipline activities for conformance to project specifications

• Control of NCRs/QDRs & corrective actions

• Trend Analysis by QC sampling

• Lessons Learnt plan, workshops

• Worksite Quality Inductions

• Training plan & Records

• Devise, Implement & maintain a quality award scheme for construction contractors

• Turnover, Project Close out

• Familiarity with FPD (Flawless Project Delivery)

Skills / Qualifications

• BE / B Tech

• Minimum 15 years of site experience in reputed PMC / EPC organisation, in oil & gas / petrochemical projects of which a minimum of 5 years as Quality Manager handling multi disciplines

• Experience in LNG Plant / LNG Terminal / cryogenic services and familiarity with Shell standards and requirements will be preferred

• Familiarity in Home Office Quality assurance

• Valid ISO 9001: QMS Lead Auditor Certification

• Valid AWS or Equivalent Certification in Welding

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently looking for a Construction QA/QC Manager in a PMC role, to manage Construction Quality Plan in line with overall Project Quality Plan, project contract documents, Procedures & Work Practices. The incumbent will be responsible and focal point of all QA/QC activities of the project covering Engineering, Procurement and Construction and will be assisted by respective QA/QC specialists for Engineering & Procurement. Shall report to the Site Manager of the Integrated Project Management Team. Will be initially located at Home office to review EPC contractor’s Quality Management System, including definition of Quality objectives, QA/QC processes that will be implemented throughout the project, covering Project Management, Discipline Engineering Management, Document & record management, etc. Subsequently, will be required to relocate to project site to set up and manage QA/QC of construction assisted by respective QA/QC discipline specialists.
