Architect / Interior Designer :
Gensler is in search of bright and dynamic professionals; individuals who leverage their unique talent and point of view to redefine what’s possible through the power of design . In this role  , you will work closely with other Designers and Project Managers on architectural / interior designing  projects.  You should be enthusiastic and skilled to generate and develop design ideas and solutions in a team environment.  Design expression in both 2D and 3D is essential to be successful in this role  and also the ability to follow the design progress through design development and documentation.  Key aspects of role is to conceptualize ideas, test, and develop solutions per project and client criteria.  The following  responsibilities  reflect the core activities of the role although there will be changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on projects, including programming client needs, concept design, schematic design, design development, and budget/schedule.
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.
  • Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications.
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination .
  • Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
Skills  / Qualifications:
  • 2-6  years of relevant professional experience .
  • Knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials .
  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple projects in various stages of development.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly .
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD and other 3D computer design programs. REVIT is a plus..
  • Self-starters with good verbal and written communication skills in English.
