Job Description

There is one position for  international locally hired Boeing Supply Chain Specialist to be part of C-17 Field Services team to be based at the Indian Air Force (IAF) base at Hindon (near New Delhi) India. The successful candidate will be a member of the Supply Team that will provide on-site support to the IAF, including permanent site activation, warehousing, inventory control, stock management, packaging and transportation, and Import and Export documentation control, etc. The individual will work alongside the IAF personnel at floor levels on a daily basis, including occasional interaction with senior military officials.  He/ She will require a high level of proficiency in computer-based inventory control and supply accounting systems and must have knowledge of interpreting engineering information to support the determination of alternative parts and assemblies to provide timely supply solutions. The individual will also recommend repair sourcing decisions, processes, documentation of repairable items, process and follow up warranties and will support supplier/customer presentations and program reviews. The candidate will use business, communications and experience/training to make decisions and at times work independently from main/ forward operating locations with minimal supervision while demonstrating the ability to sustain the customer operations and to achieve this, work effectively and efficiently with the core C-17 Supply Team based in India/ abroad.

Ideal candidate must have demonstrated & successful experience working with computerized Supply Support Systems in a direct customer relationship.  Prior knowledge/ experience working with IAF and /or in a commercial airline will be an advantage. Candidate must be able to identify unique supply solutions using innovation and prior experience preferably in an International supply environment to execute program objectives. Prior experience of mission execution in a geographically remote or bare-base location will be an advantage. Experience working with international customers; supporting military airlift; and expertise with Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)/ Boeing Commercial Aircraft procurement systems, Buyer Certification, C-17 Repair of Repairable processes, experience working with Government On Line Data (GOLD) and Warehouse On Web (WOW) software will be an advantage. Knowledge and training on Boeing C-17 spares and supply support processes and procedures, USAF logistics support operations and systems will be provided. A proven ability to develop creative supply solutions to complex logistic support problems is highly desirable. Work may include flexible shifts and may also require to respond during after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
