The Dow Chemical Company is offering great career opportunities in Manufacturing and Engineering for a Senior Instrumentation Engineer m/f in a global and international environment at the Indian Engineering Center / IEC Chennai.
As a Instrumentation Engineer you will be working with more than 90 instrumentation engineers and designers of all type of capital projects from 300.000 USD up to 500.000.000 USD. This is all in different regions mostly North America and Europe. This starts from Front End Loading (FEED, Basic Engineering) up to Detail engineering. Job Description:
- Hands on experience in Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) in all modules
- Instrument spec, Compilation of Material requisitions, Technical Evaluation , Finalizing of Instrument ordering and Review & Approval of vendor documentation
- Prepare of Instrument Installation detail/ Hook up drawings
- Support in preparation of Instrument construction package
- Good knowledge on Instrument wiring concepts, Electrical-DCS interface design and integration of different vendor package instruments in main plant control system
- Review of P & IDs and responsible for all Instrument types, connection sizes and symbols
- Good knowledge on codes and standards (IEC/IEEE/ISA/ASME/ANSI)
- Master Degree in Technology/ Engineering with Instrument/ Electronics specialization
- 8 – 12 years of experience in design and preparation of Instrumentation deliverables for Chemical / Oil and Gas Industrial Projects Preferred Skills
- highly flexible in terms of geographic areas and willing to work for an international exiting company
- Besides the required technical competencies, self-motivation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as customer focus are essential.
