Job Description:

1. Provide necessary guidance and shall issue directions/procedures/formats of reports
2. Act as a Contract Specialist for construction package, even though the thrust of his responsibilities will be in the areas of quantity surveying/ processing of the invoices etc.
3. Responsible for taking all measures required to control the project cost and time over-runs
4. Examine the claims of the contractor, variation orders, if any, and will approve the progress reports as per the project requirements.
5. Hardworking, self motivated and ability to meet tight deadlines
6. To carry out monthly valuation of work in program, including forecasting final cost
7. Maintain sub contract database
8. Maintain material suppliers database
9. Preparation of quantities
10. Pricing of excavation, concrete, brick work, wood work, pipeline, sewer, drainage, culverts, bridges, roads, buildings etc.
11. Complete tender document for submission
12. Post-tender negotiation
13. Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre-tender and post-tender matters
14. Preparation and issue of contractual letters to Clients and Sub-contractors
15. Post contract liaison with Client
16. Carry out Site measurements for preparation of measurement books
17. Rate analysis as per SOR and market prevailing rates
18. Agreements and certification of sub-contractors in terms of valuation and final accounts
19. 15 years experience in Water Supply/Construction Project
20. At least 10 years experience as Quantity Surveyor in Construction Project/Water/Waste Water Treatment, Water Supply, Sewerage. Drainage, Roads & Buildings, Bridges, Culverts
21. Ability to work as part of a close knit management team and manage numerous activities/projects simultaneously
22. Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
23. Good Negotiator
