Job Description:

• Conduct surveillance and reviews of the quality system, including subcontractors and suppliers where appropriate.
• Proactive approach to improve quality of work at site, minimize rework and demonstrate continual improvement.
• To assist the organization of phased Inspections
• Raise the profile of Quality with in the construction team by promoting Best Practice.
• Assist the Quality Line Manager on issues relevant to quality and in the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
• Provision of inspection assistance services to enable the Business
• Units to execute works as per requirement.
• To ensure better quality standards of the finished products by consistent monitoring of the process and proper production sequence.
• Ensure the subcontractors are in compliance with their own quality systems.
• Ensure all Method Statements and Inspection Test Plans are being progressed as planned.
• Assist in carrying out audits in accordance with the audit schedule.
• Prepare Non Conformance Reports and follow-up for close out.
• To assist in the management all site field tests listed in the specification.
• Maintain Quality Control records and inspection records.
• Assist in the verification that contract close out documentation is prepared as necessary.
• Respond to Request for Inspection / Approval in a timely manner.
• Understand the requirements of the BBS / Drawings / Specifications.
• Ensure there are no ambiguities in the agreed standards to be achieved, i.e. workmanship, benchmarks, material samples etc.
• Regular reporting of progress and performance to line manager and others as instructed.
• Provide an inspection service to ensure that workmanship and materials are as specified.
• Resolve quality issues in a pragmatic manner at the earliest opportunity, to the maximum benefit of the business.
