Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology in Pune, is looking for a

Parts and Service Engineer Track plant C&S

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment, tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry. The product offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

Scope

SMRT is strongly focusing on customer services and service growth targets through competent Service resources. Service Engineers are regarded as technical experts to help customers with their products and operations. In Service and parts sales the service engineer has the most important role. Proactive communication with customers helps to define the customer needs during lifecycle and to offer optimum solution of equipment, spare parts and services.

Key performance areas

• All the tasks are carried out as per safe work procedures and utmost care is taken for personnel safety with 100% PPE compliance. The work environment and equipment’s are safe and that any hazards are identified and suitably rectified prior to the commencement of any task. Any person under supervision is complies with all necessary safety procedures and instructions, both written and verbal.
• Besides the existing responsibility of generating the parts and service business, expected to Boost the Service Agreement sales.
• Attend the service calls achieve the customer satisfaction with good services.
• Provide commissioning service for new machine delivery.
• Use relevant supporting systems where provided to enhance logging of activities.
• Visit the customers for promotion of services and parts business.
• Active communication with customers to understand the needs of customer and offer solutions to customer/decision makers.
• Reporting on maintenance and servicing work, processing feedback.
• Make the detailed service reports as required, follow up with customers for spares orders,
• Good coordination with order desk, finance and colleagues for smooth functioning of services,
• Should be able to lead the team of technicians,
• Should be proactively promoting our new service products for examples: asset agreements (Inspection plus, service plus, security plus) sales.

Important Aspects Of The Role Are:

• Mechanical Engineering related hydraulic, pneumatics etc knowledge, Electrical knowledge, Customer Focus, Willing to travel.
• Good communication and social skills, both verbal and written.

Critical Success Factors

• Will interact with external customer, Order desk, Finance, Logistics team, Inventory team and Area Service Managers

Your profile

• Experience 3 to 10 years
• Dip/ BE Mechanical /Electrical
