Job Description

• Planning of the work to be done at the sites, before the actual construction begins, Setting baseline, reviewing the plans once the works starts and making changes in the current and future plans alongside & monitoring for the same.
• Preparation & revision of control estimates.
• Highlighting critical issues & activities.
• Defining the key activities/ milestones and monitoring them closely & regularly to avoid deviations from the plans.
• Responsible for monitoring short term and long term planning of construction related activities.
• To monitor that the resources are optimally utilized and the costs are kept in check.
• Co-ordinate with all the relevant departments for their inputs.
• Setting the baseline programme.
• To plan & evaluate day to day activities and identify the reasons for slow progress, if any.
• To compare the plans with actual work done, identify gaps and ensure that these gaps are closed in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Prepare a catch up schedule.
• To identify key intermediate milestones for the project within target timelines.
• To Conduct/ attend co-ordination/ progress review meetings.
• To prepare weekly/ monthly reports.
• To monitor achievement levels of key intermediate milestones for the project within target timelines.
• To identify hindrances that are affecting the progress of the project & planning & identifying ways to eliminate the same.
• To update the Regional Head, Project Head & Corporate Office with all relevant information about plans, deviations from these plans (financial & work progress)
• Analysis of latest technology/ trends in construction industry & suggestions on how technology can bring value in terms

Skills required:

• Knowledge of tools related to Project planning such as MS Project, Primavera etc
• Analytical and problem solving
• Good Communication skills
• Planning capability with ability to factor in all variables
