1)Assistant Engineer | Engineer- Civil & Structural - Water Projects

Responsibilities 


As a member of the Water & Environment (CDS )team, you will be involved in real projects from day one, with exposure to some of the most challenging projects. We encourage vision, problem-solving, ambition, enthusiasm and drive. We recognize that people are the key to our success and we ensure that we provide them with a varied workload, which will enable them to excel in their career-.

Reporting to the CDS Team Leader you will be responsible for the designs to ensure you deliver the work to the necessary quality programme and budget
Responding to client requirements in a receptive and customer focused manner, maintaining high technical quality standards
Have an aptitude to multi task and to be a self starter in new business environments and service areas.
Developing civil detailed designs, Interpret CAD drawings and coordinate with CAD technicians in the production of drawings 

Requirements 

B.E / B. Tech or M.E / M. Tech Civil Engineering degree from a recognized University.

2 to 4years working experience in the water and wastewater consultancy industry
The ability to think laterally and possess a sound understanding of engineering principles. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and will be able to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally.
Experience of producing feasibility and detailed designs for Water and Wastewater Treatment and infrastructure with experience of large diameter clean water and wastewater pipelines.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and produce civil designs, details and schedules.
Working knowledge of British Standards and Legislation is desirable
Computer proficiency of; Word, Excel and Outlook software.

2) Senior Transport Planner 

Responsibilities:

You will be part of an established transport planning team developing and applying computer-based transport models (micro-simulation & junction assessment ) using state-of-the-art transport modelling software supported by Geographic Information Systems (GIS ) tools.

You will be part of a team responsible for the technical development of transport modelling projects comprising:

•Technical development of project tasks, and development of tools and processes

•Development and checking of models and model forecasts, reports and analyses including quality and delivery to timescales

•Apply Atkins Quality, Safety & Environmental (QSE) standards and Business Management System (BMS)

As part of a team, you will also be responsible for reporting progress and output quality, as well as developing business improvement initiatives with your line manager.

Essential Requirements:

•Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (preferably Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with Masters degree in transport planning / engineering)

•Relevant previous experience in one or more of the following software for building models or scheme assessment: VISSIM, PARAMICS, LINSIG,SYNCHRO,TRANSYT & JUNCTION 8 software packages

•Proven experience in preparing transport models in line with industry standards and best practice such as (but not limited to) TfL Modelling Guidelines and Model Audit Process.
