Job Description: 
Position Title : Geotechnical Engineer / Geotech Engineer
Project Location: Mumbai
Experience : 5-7 Years
Type of project : Metro Construction Project 
Qualifications & Skills : B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech Civil
Overview: 
The Geotechincal Engineer will be responsible for Geotech review and foundation designs of Metro Project sites using fundamental Civil and Geotechincal concepts and calculations.
  
Job Responsibilities:
1) Preparation of Scope of Work for Geotechnical Investigations and getting the Field tests, Lab tests as per the requirements and monitoring field work activities such as field investigations / surveys and sampling.
2) Managing the testing and data collection of field samples, reviewing the day to day work of the Geotechnical borelogs and monitoring the progress as per schedule.
3) Reviewing of Factual and Geotechnical Interpretative report prepared by Soil consultants and ensure that the report are as per required form to be used by structural engineers.
4) Preparation of tender documents ITT for Geotechnical Investigation and finalization of the contractor.
5) Geotechnical Design of Shallow and Pile foundations as per IS codes and relevant IRC codes.
6) Liaising with Client, Geotechnical consultants , MetroStructural engineers to understand the design requirement.
7) Knowledge of Pile Dynamic testing, Static Pile tests and Pile integrity test.
8) Intermittent visit to Site, Client meetings and Geotechnical contractor- Lab etc.
Experience and Qualification: 
B.tech. in Civil Engineering with 3 years of relevant work experience / M.Tech in Geotecnical Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
