We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for a Full Time position.
Responsibilities
Candidate should ensure that the client’s requirements and Hill International's obligations are fulfilled, the project meets the highest safety as well as quality standards, and is delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities cover management and oversight of all stages from feasibility, planning through design, procurement, construction and hand- over. Specifically, key tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop and/or administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts and quality control provisions; Oversee project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate.
Oversee all aspects of the day to day management of design, procurement and construction activities; Monitor and coordinate services performed by architectural, engineering, and cost consultancy firms as well as works carried out by construction companies, suppliers and vendors.
Review and interpret proposed architectural designs, FF&E designs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications for appropriateness to required function, constructability, durability, operational efficiency and budget; Initiate revisions where appropriate; Advise consultants and the client as to how best achieve required objectives.
Ensure that project operations are in compliance with established project policies and procedures.
Establish performance and delivery criteria and lead in developing the project execution plan (PEP); Update the PEP at regular intervals to match project status.
In strict compliance with client's established procedures, review and authorize the issuance of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders; Approve consultant, contractor and vendor invoices for payment.
Lead, direct and manage a team of architects/engineers, FF&E specialists, design managers, construction managers, cost engineers, field inspectors, HSE engineers and quality control engineers.
Chair progress, value engineering and other special meetings with all stakeholders and ensure that minutes thereof are circulated in a timely manner; Follow up on outstanding actions to avoid delay.
Lead the preparation of weekly and monthly reports to the client, Ensure that schedule updates are included for ease of monitoring; Highlight risk areas related to design, permits, scope change, budget overrun and schedule delays, and recommend appropriate remedial measures.
Required Profile
•Minimum of 20 years of professional experience in the construction sector, out of which at least 10 years in a similar Project Manager role on large scale commercial office buildings and business parks.
•Experience in managing projects throughout their life cycle from start of design through tendering, construction, tenant fit-out, testing and commissioning and close-out.
•Particular experience in managing commercial office fit-outs for major multinational corporations.
•A sound background in administering design and construction contracts
•Proven track record in managing large project teams and working in multi-cultural environments
•University degree in an architectural or engineering field is preferred
•International experience in multi- cultural environments and specific India experience are an added benefit
•Excellent leadership skills and high proficiency in the English language are necessary
