Since then, Louis Berger has been working for various Clients including the NHAI, MMRDA, CIDCO, State PWD, DMICDC and various State Governments undertakings in sectors covering rail transit, highways, rural roads, urban infrastructure development such as water supply, sewerage, sanitation, solid waste management etc.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: 
As Senior Environmental specialist to perform the following tasks:
  • Review and supplement the details given In DPR mainly on environmental aspects.
  • Review the EIA & Mitigation Measures Given in DPR & Previous Reports.
  • Assist in proposing Detailed Environmental Management Plan & Monitoring Plan for Construction & Operations Phases
  • Assist in preparing tender documents (environmental requirements) for the depot contract (Phase 2).
  • Assist in review bid documents submitted by tenderers for the civil packages focusing on environmental aspects.
  • Assist in review of Site Environmental Management Plans and Waste Management Plans for all the civil packages.
  • Supervise the field monitoring works taken up by the GC.
  • Assist in monitoring the muck disposal process from all the civil packages project sites.
  • Attend meetings with MMRC and contractors and other stake holders.
  • Contribute in preparation/finalization of relevant manual.
  • Assist in review of each Civil package environmental submissions to make sure that Civil contractors prepare and submit a Site Environmental Management Plan specific to the activities that are likely to be carried out in the Civil package, listing out the likely environmental Impacts and environmental measures to mitigate the adverse impacts, monitoring of various environmental attributes including the parameters monitored and the frequency of monitoring, details of the monitoring agency engaged, reporting format etc.
  • Undertake site Inspections/ audits to check that environmental measures are properly implemented by the Contractors at the construction sites - dust accumulation, waste segregation and storage, wheel washing bays etc.
  • Assist in Carrying out studies on identification of sensitive receivers all along the MML3 corridor for identifying the need for considering noise and vibration mitigation measures.
  • Assist in Monitoring and inspecting the tree survey at project work sites by the Contractors for assessing the tree felling requirements.
  • Prepare monthly Environmental Reports, consolidating the monthly reports received from all the civil packages.
  • Any other task or responsibility which is stated or intended as per TOR contained in RFP for GC services.

Required Experience

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences
12+ years of experience
