Basic
Job Function:
Description:
• The Site Development Engineer, reports to the Sr Manager Land and Permits and is a part of the Project Development team for utility scale solar projects.
• Has to take lead in identifying site options, evaluating them and selecting the site and getting it ready fro contruction
• Co-oridnate with the legal team for the land title diligence process
• Work with the land aggregator/ consultant at the site to complete the acquisition process
• Take lead in conduting the pre-feasibility/ feasibility studies at the site
• Closely co-oridnate with the engineering and construction team for preliminary designs, access roads, TL alignments etc
• Secure land related permits from local govt departments with/ without the help of the land aggregator.

Experience:
• 8-10 years project engineering/ construction experience in the design/build, EPC, or electric utility generation fields
• 3+ years of experience in project development in solar/wind industry is desirable
• Project experience to include project development and permitting, , conceptual and detailed design, , preparing detailed schedules for development works and high level schedules for EPC works, scope preparation, scheduling, cost estimating for development works.
Education:
• Bachelor
of Engineering /BTech in Civil is preferered

to handle large amounts of incoming information and reprioritize on a daily
basis

Essential
Functions & Responsibilities

private properties by gathering information on land availability from local
land aggregators
• Work closely with Transmission team to determine suitability for interconnection
• Use communication skills to maintain relationships with owners throughout negotiation process
• Collaborate with Development and Permitting teams on multiple projects at one time
• Use GIS mapping tools to create area maps for Development and Permitting teams.
o Create KMZs of project sites and surrounding areas by accurately mapping parcels and easements
o Be able to designate areas of critical environmental concern and conservation
o Research flood zone information
o Facilitate title diligence by co-oridnating between corporate project development team, legal team and the land aggregator.

• Stay at remote areas (proposed project sites) during land acquisition, feasibility studies and permitting process
