Job description

Create and sustain a productive safety culture and safe work environment in order to avoid and minimize HSE related problems. These problems include but are not limited to human injury, environmental degradation and unsafe working conditions/practices. This is done through HSE training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of people and environment.

Long Description

Job Accountabilities

1. Co-ordinate with Project team to prepare and implement HSE documentation for RPMG project in accordance with RPMG corporate HSE Management System

1. Regularly audit implementation of the HSE Management System and Project HSE Plans developed to execute the HSE Management System

1. Help RPMG site HSE lead to evaluate, design and develop site specific HSE programs based on HSE Management System

1. Provide support to RPMG Project Management in the interpretation and implementation of HSE Management System requirements

1. Development of Instructor lead and web based training courses

1. Conduct trainings to help RPMG employees, contractors, and subcontractors to understand their responsibility with respect to HSE management

1. Participate in contractor evaluation and alignment process, incident investigation and HSE Management System review/ development

1. Co-ordinate communications with corporate and site management team and contractors to continually improve HSE performance

1. Prepare, review and communicate HSE learning opportunities through RPMG Group web based portals

1. Co- ordinate all departmental activities effectively to assist HOD HSE

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

1. Thorough knowledge of HSE Management system

1. Knowledge of technology, legal and other HSE resources required for administration and evaluation of HSE Management System

1. Evaluate progress of HSE Management System implementation and effectiveness

1. Competent in incident investigation and to suggest preventive measures

1. Ability to identify training need, development of training modules and impart training

1. Working knowledge of Microsoft office and other internet resources

1. High critical thinking/reasoning ability.

1. Effective communication and report writing skills.

1. Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
Qualification Required: 

• Graduate / Post Graduate in Science, Engineering, Technology with Post Graduate/ Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized University / board.

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in HSE related field

• International/ National HSE certification

• International Project experience

Experience Required:

• 07-12 years of HSE related experience

Desirable:

• 05 years construction related HSE experience
