better value to our customers. We are currently seeking to appoint an
experienced Lead Systems Specialist – Planning, Construction
& Completions (PCC) Systems to lead the GDC team responsible for the maintenance and support of
these systems.
The
principal accountability of the role is to ensure
high systems availability for Primavera, Completions Management Tool and
Prediction+ Work Packaging tool for ongoing project
execution and future projects implementations.
Specifically you will be
responsible for the following:
- Optimise project
delivery through its lifecycle, provide oversight and guidance on system
implementation and support for PPC Systems on Major Projects, Services or Improve projects;
- Maintaining fit for purpose
functionality of Planning, Construction Work Packaging and
Completion/commissioning management tools in line continually changing
industry, business and functional requirements. By regular engagement with
functional leads and product vendors ensuring
functional process and systems alignment.;
- Provide oversight
and guidance on project implementation tasks and assist as required.
Review and approve the project’s PCC Systems Project Implementation Plan;
- Assist Project
PIMs in planning and coordination of system
configuration, implementation and training during start-up of major or
significant new projects;
- Drive Technology Enablement for Construction program that will maximise yield from data centric
delivery and 3D model for:
- 4D & 5D
planning
- Status visualisations for opening
construction and completion work fronts
- Applying field computing
technologies for work instruction and inspections efficiencies
- Proactively seek
out ways to help projects and users maximize efficiency using Planning
Systems;
- Oversee delivery
of training to assess effectiveness of trainers and material presented;
- Manage the
development and maintenance of the PPC Systems global project configuration to ensure alignment with EMS
procedures and processes
Specific
challenges associated with the role include:
- Balancing the focus of day to day,
operational systems management with the requirement to foster future
readiness and a climate for innovation
- Leading the centralisation of
service delivery through driving a consolidated and automated delivery
process;
- Leading the organisation towards a
culture of continuous improvement
To be successful in this
position, you will ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent, significant
relevant working experience in a similar position in the EPC / EPCM industry.
Specific skills, attributes
and experience we look for include:
- Experience managing systems implementation in a global
environment with a focus on planning, Construction and completions;
- Previous super user experience with
Omega PIMS CMS or other tier 1 CMS
- Previous user experience with
Construction Work Packaging systems, Bentley,
Intergraph or Autodesk products (desirable)
- Understanding of Software Systems
Architecture both infrastructure and business logic (desirable);
application security and relationship to Windows Active directory
(desirable)
- Understanding of the construction work packaging process from planning & preparation to execution
and closeout in both a practical and digital context.(essential)
- Understanding of the Completions
& Commissioning process and in particular the transition fromArea Build to System
Handover (essential)
- Knowledge of 4D & 5D concepts
and enabling systems (desirable)
- Knowledge of field computing
technologies to enable field productivity e.g. tablet inspections, RFID.
(desirable)
- Key understanding of the critical
Construction and Completions interfaces and data dependencies between:
- Construction & Engineering
- Construction & Procurement
- Construction & Commissioning
- Commissioning & Engineering
- Commissioning & Operations
- Strong fundamental knowledge of engineering, procurement,
construction and home office and site planning requirements;
- Deep understanding
of project requirements, deliverables and workflows
- Experience working
in virtual teams supporting a global community;
