has an opening for a Assoc Process Engineering Manager (m/f) to be located in Chennai, India .
This role acts as a technical resource to lead
project teams and to provide expertise in specific fields, tools or theory on
at least a site wide basis and as a part of related
global networks. Value is derived from implementing projects consistent with
global benchmarks for project team performance with successfully demonstrated
plant operation. In addition, this role provides solutions which add value through work process, unit operations,
operating condition or process technology improvements. This role reports to
the Operations Function.
Core Responsibilities:
The Assoc Process Engineering Manager is fully qualified in
the application of Chemical Engineering skills and
independently applies this knowledge in practical applications. This role
provides a technical resource to lead project teams and/or to provide expertise
in specific fields, tools or theory. Provide solutions which add value through work process, unit operations, operating
condition or process technology improvements. At this experience level
demonstrates competencies of directing others, staffing, planning and
controlling the discipline portion of project work. Demonstrate effective interaction with other disciplines and
personnel in business and project roles. Typically most senior lead for site
executed projects and manages larger projects regionally and/or globally.
Core responsibilities include:

Applies Global Project Methodology (Global Project Methodology) and Process
Engineering Work Process Discipline; Leads/ coaches Core Process Engineers /
teams in ensuring meeting Project / Task / Job goals as applicable for various
size projects / site executed projects
·
Ensures that the project scope is well defined and meets the
business needs in a cost effective manner.
·
Ensure that the process
design is safe, meets DOW LPP’s and other EH&S requirements.
·
Drives project execution
within their discipline
·
Provides input to project schedule and plans, then monitors progress against the
plans
·
Ensure design deliverables
for their discipline meet the needs of the project: functions as intended, on
time and within budget
·
Identifies technical
problems and appropriately engages the business tech.
center and SME network to resolve
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
·
Minimum Bachelor Degree in
Chemical Engineering
·
Approx. 8+ years of
industry relevant experience/
·
Experience in all project
phases (Definition, Design, Construction, and Start Up) is required
·
Has worked in role within
GPM, or equivalent, project execution work processes and has detailed
understanding of the deliverables for their discipline
·
Has experience leading teams
·
Has experience in managing
the deliverables needed to prepare project estimates and schedules
·
Change management
Preferred Qualifications:
·
Six Sigma Green Belt
Project Leader or Black Belt Certification
·
Experience in several
process technologies/varying businesses
·
Operations and/or
Commissioning and start-up experience
·
Experience working w/ EPC
suppliers and vendor
