Job Summary

AECOM recently signed the contract with MEGA Authority, a SPV of Government of India and Government of Gujarat, for the Ahmedabad Metro Rail project in a consortium.

AECOM will be providing general engineering consultancy services for Phase-I of the project. With this win, AECOM becomes the only consultant to be associated with all the metro projects in the six Indian cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Valued at US $1.7 billion, this 37.7-km long metro line will have 33 stations, including four underground stations. Phase-I comprises the development of two corridors – the North-South corridor from APMC to Motera stadium with 15 elevated stations; and the East-West corridor from Thaltej to Vastral Gaam with 18 stations including four underground stations.

As the general engineering consultant, AECOM will be working on design review, technical specifications, system integration, procurement, construction supervision, project management, tender and award of contracts, contract administration, station and depot architecture, civil and interface management and testing and commissioning of Phase I.

AECOM is actively seeking creative and talented engineers for immediate employment. This position will be part of the Transportation- Metro Department for Ahmedabad Metro Project. The role will include

• Execution & planning of civil works like Diaphragm wall, Plunge column, Roof slab, Concourse slab, Base slab, Soil anchor, Rock bolting, Shear pin, block work, box culvert etc..
• Preparation & Submission of site document like BBS, Excavation plan etc.as per ISO.
• Achieving the planning schedules by team work, proper planning & management skills.
• Co-ordination with all contractor and sub-contractor & with consultant.
• Execution as per consultant drawings & specification.
• Maintaining specification of material & BOQ items.
• Maintaining Quality control & quality assurance procedures.
• Preparation of Bar Bending Schedules.
• Preparation of Subcontractor bills as per approved work orders.
• Monthly reconciliation of quantities.
• Site execution of elevated and underground metro project.

Location- Ahmedabad

Minimum Requirements

• The candidate should have minimum 6 years of experience in site execution with minimum 4 years of experience in execution of elevated and underground metro project.

Preferred Qualifications

• B Tech- Civil Engineering
